Return to Edinburgh

Firstly I tried writing down a brief description of my short visit to Edinburgh last 5th March. Landed at Edinburgh Airport at 13:00 last Thursday 5th took the Airlink to city centre, of course it was raining… I gave up, it didn't work. I rather be quiet letting the pictures talk, even in Spanish couldn’t explain myself clearer.

Re-discovering Edinburgh on Thursday//CSE at Pleasance

Sorry there isn't any pictures from the comp on Friday, I was busy taking part, anyway the best is always afterwards.

Roz and Duncan//Climbing in Ratho on Saturday with Andy and Iain.

Roz, Antoine, Sam, Sarah, Penny, Duncan, Julia... Sunday at A2

Trying new "horrible" problems, with features for feet ;)

Belgian Dinner at Antoine's

Delicious Rozz's Cake // Way back too early in the morning// Waiting at Frankfurt Airport

Life seems to move all of us very quickly and sometimes in different directions, time does not stop. Guess that it has to be in that way I don’t want to complain. Luckily for some periods of time we can meet exceptional people and walk with them a little bite of the road… What I’m really trying to say is that, it was great returning to Edinburgh, it was a pleasure seeing you all.

…just can only add, thank you all very much!! Hope to see you soon wherever it is.

Take care and climb a lot, Cheers!

Edinburgh

A few weeks ago among my stuff from Edinburgh (Left it 17 months ago and part of it is still on boxes!!!) found 4 undeveloped photography films, took them out and sent to develop. There were random pictures from my last year in there.

They may be old but just looking at them I can travel further north 2000km approximately…

This first part were taken someday back in Autumn 2006 in Edinburgh.

The second part shows a few pictures of a nice climbing day with Iain and Antoine at Back Bowden Doors in December 2006.Last pictures where taken at Dover before I left the UK in June 07.

It’s been raining here for two weeks and the weather forecast for next weekend doesn’t look really good, maybe I’m closer to Scotland than I though… Take care and climb a lot!!

Ceüse

Ceüse

Many people says that it is the best crag of the world, not really sure about this haven’t visited all of them yet, what I really can say that it well worthy a visit. Went for a week early in September and now back home, I’m looking forward to get back again.

Previously I am little bite sceptical about “best climbing venues”, usually they are very busy places with very polish routes which they might have been great once but not any more, fortunately I was wrong this time. Ceüse has still got some magic in it, run out bolts, excellent routes, a campsite full of climbers from everywhere, nice weather…

Must recon, we were psyched for this trip, 12h driving during the night without sleeping in order to gain and extra day for climbing, 1,100 km to get there. We climbed six days of seven, as much as we could till the light faded away, as hard as we could and luckily still there were loads of routes untouched for us waiting to be climbed.

I agree that “Climbing is a way of living for all climbers” but for many of them, those who are not professional climbers, climbing is a getaway too. Nowadays lost in my work duties, in my busy life I’m sad, I miss it. My next climbing trip will be on…Uppps! I couldn’t say it yet. I know, It’s time to get back to work, indoor training, etc.

Fortunately I say to myself, “Best season here start now”, and suddenly I realise that it’s not that bad, it’s time to look for new hard projects!! The motivation starts increasing again, we’ll see ;-)

Hope you all enjoy the pictures. Take care and climb a lot!

Me alegro de haber cambiado Gama por Ceüse... ¡Gracias Alex, Jibe y Berto!
